What is a WFN?
WFN, Raised Face WFN,WPNF, or WPF are all shortened names for our line of welded flanged fittings. The main difference is the "p" that you might see listed. The "p" stands for Pad, which is a specific type of flange that we use for tight piping situations. Pad flanges are mainly used on the bottom of cone bottom tanks to allow for more clearance. All of our flanges as of March 1,2007 have a full raised face design included. All flanges that do not have a "p" include plate gussets and have a standard nominal 6" projection. Other names you might see are BHF which is a mechanical compression fitting, WHC which is a welded coupling, or S.S. which stands for stainless steel. There are a lot of pro's to using our welded line of fittings. Compression fittings are only used at customer request. If you have any questions about these just give us a call 800.525.2661. We can help direct you towards exactly what you application requires
